All About Pookie's Archery

This site has been a very long time coming. We have been in business serving the needs of sportsmen and women in the Avoyelles Parish area since 1983. Over the years we have developed relationships with many top of the line manufacturers of firearms, archery equipment, outdoor products, etc. We were not tremendously affected by Hurricaine Katrina as we are located in Central Louisiana approximately 175 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. We did not fair as well with Hurricaine Gustov, however. Hurricaine Gustov destroyed the roof of our building and destroyed almost all of our merchandise. Thanks to the efforts of the manufacturers and the people of Avoyelles Parish we have been able to rebuild and now offer our products to the world with this new website.

We sell quality products which have been tested by hunters and sportsmen in the treacherous swamps and grueling environments of South Louisiana. From the Mud Swamps of Spring Bayou and Lake Ophelia to the Salt Marshes across the Gulf of Mexico, our products hold up. We offer the Winchester SX 3. The most durable shotgun in the world. It will not rust in the pump shed or if left at the camp until next season. Then we have the Browning Maxus Hunter. This self cleaning gun ensures you will have trouble free operation even after using the buttstock as a paddle for your pirogue.

Our bows are top of the line, and our bowsmiths demand perfection. When we set up your bow it is tuned to more exacting specifications than the manufacturer uses. We do not settle of less.
